WG Pearson Mural Project

Walnut Creek Wetland Center - Gravel Wetland Educational Display.

Located at 950 Peterson St, Raleigh, NC 27610. This project started as a display for the Walnut Creek gravel Wetland. the project is a man made stormwater filtration system that mimics the process of a naturally occurring wetland. My sculpture explains how the system works and also gives a nod to the legacy of the community that it sits in and the relationship to the wetland. This project was commissioned by the City of Raleigh. Fabrication and installation was done in partnership with Jim Gallucci Sculptures (Greensboro, NC)
